This policy explains what information mypdfpage.com (“we”, “us”) handles when you use the website, and why. The short version: your PDFs never leave your device, there are no accounts, and we only use analytics cookies if you agree to them.
Your PDF files
When you add a PDF, your own web browser opens it, makes the changes and saves the result to your device. Your files are not uploaded to us or to anyone else. We never see, store or have access to them. When you close or reload the page, the copies held in your browser’s memory are cleared.
What we don’t collect
- We don’t ask you to sign up or log in.
- We never receive your PDFs or their contents, so analytics can’t include them either.
- We don’t use advertising or advertising cookies.
Analytics cookies (only if you agree)
When you first visit, we ask whether we can use Google Analytics. If you choose Reject, or don’t answer, Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set.
If you choose Accept, Google Analytics helps us understand how the website is used so we can improve it. It records:
- which pages you visit and which tools you use, and when;
- your browser, device type and screen size;
- your approximate location (country or city), worked out from your IP address;
- the website or search that brought you here.
Google Analytics sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_5HP750TNNP, which last up to 2 years and let it recognize repeat visits. Google states that Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses. Google provides this service for us and may process the data outside the UK, including in the US, under appropriate safeguards. We keep detailed analytics data for 14 months at most. We don’t use it to identify you, and we don’t share it for advertising. You can readhow Google uses this data.
Our legal basis for analytics is your consent. You can change your choice at any time with theCookie settings link at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, the analytics cookies are deleted.
To remember your choice, your browser stores a small setting called mypdfpage-consent. It contains only “granted” or “denied”.
Information our hosting provider handles
The website is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any website host, Cloudflare receives basic technical information when your browser requests a page, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. Cloudflare uses this to deliver the website and protect it from attacks. We do not use it to identify you. Cloudflare may process this information outside the UK under appropriate safeguards. You can readCloudflare’s privacy policy.
Our legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website.
Files saved on your device for offline use
After your first visit, your browser keeps a copy of the website’s own files (its pages, styles and code) so the tools keep working without an internet connection. This copy contains no personal information and none of your PDFs. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for mypdfpage.com.
If you email us
If you contact us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you. We keep them for as long as needed to deal with your message, and then delete them.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, and object to how we use it. Because we don’t collect personal information through the tools, in most cases we will have none. To make a request, email us at the address below. You also have the right to complain to theInformation Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Children
The website is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the website handles information, for example by adding advertising, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect. Where the law requires your consent, such as for advertising cookies, we will ask for it first.
