Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Your PDFs are opened and changed by your own web browser, on your own device. They are never sent to us or anyone else, so nobody can see them. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it keeps working.
Is the original file changed?
No. Extracting makes a new PDF. The file on your device stays exactly as it was.
Can I extract pages that aren’t next to each other?
Yes. Click each page you want, for example pages 2, 5 and 9. Hold Shift to select everything between two pages.
Is anything lost from the PDF?
Page content stays exactly as it was: text, images and page sizes are kept, and nothing is compressed, so text stays sharp and searchable. Bookmarks (the side outline) and fillable form fields may not carry over to the new file. There is no watermark.
Why won’t my PDF open?
Password-protected PDFs can’t be changed here. Open the file in your PDF reader, remove the password, save a copy, then add that copy. Damaged or incomplete files can’t be opened either.
Does it work on Mac, Windows, iPhone and Android?
Yes. It runs in any modern browser, including Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox, on Windows, Mac, Chromebook, Linux, iPhone, iPad and Android. There is nothing to install and no account to create.
